Ember Stevens Ember is an OLA member and was recently awarded a 2014 Multnomah County Citizen Involvement Award for her work with the Belmont Library. Here’s what the staff there had to say about her:
“Ember Stevens’ contributions at the Belmont Library cover two extremely important and complimentary areas. As our instructor for ‘“eBooks & Audiobooks: Hands on Help” Ember helps countless patrons navigate the changing landscape of downloadable library resources. Her approachable and engaged style has impressed our staff to such a degree that they have requested shadowing her during these sessions. As well, Ember is our fearless Pageturners leader. In this capacity, Ember has created a space where everyone’s input is equally valued and honored. Ember is truly an asset to our community and we are very happy that she has made Belmont her destination of choice in volunteering these past 2+ years. Our patrons and staff are richer for it! Thank You, Ember.”
