OLA’s MLS Scholarship Selection Committee members did a great job of carefully reviewing all eligible scholarship applications OLA received. The selection committee’s recommendations were approved by the OLA Executive Board on June 3. Thanks to OLA’s Scholarship Selection Committee members: Debbie Brodie (Beaverton), Gretchen Leslie (Forest Grove), Anne Pearson (Portland), Terry Rohe (Portland), Carol Ruggeri (Newport), and Gary Sharp (North Bend).
This fall the scholarship committee will publicize the opening of the scholarship application process for the 2012 – 2013 academic year. Applications must be sent to the Oregon Student Assistance Commission at www.GetCollegeFunds.org. OLA’s scholarship program is #471 in OSAC’s catalog of scholarship programs.
The Oregon library Association’s MLIS Scholarship Program is supported in whole or part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services through the Library Services and Technology Act, administered by the Oregon State Library, and through the generosity of OLA members who have donated to the scholarship fund. OLA members are encouraged to make donations to support OLA’s scholarship initiative by using the MLIS Scholarship Contribution Form at www.olaweb.org in the Membership section.
